I am looking for any special precautions i need to watch out for while doing a front brake job on a 2011 Prius. I am hearing all kinds of nightmares about the “Christmas Tree” that can be displayed on the dash after an incorrect job. Seems there is something about error codes being generated by the process of pushing the disc back into the caliper when putting on the new brakes. What do I need to do to complete this job?

Here is my suggestion. Before you do anything you should go to haynes.com and purchase a Service Manual for the 2011 Pirus. Go into the brake section and research. Based on this information you will be given information that will allow you to work more efficiently. Automotive has become more involved and there is a need to stay current through research.
P.S I spend about any free time that I have outside of working on cars on Automotive Research. Too many guys think they know it all and don’t progress the way they should.
