Have you considered allowing qualified mechanics and body shop technicians to contribute to your video repair series? This would bring additional content at a faster rate, and free yourself of having to assemble every video produced. At most you, or a pre-selected committe, would view Videos for approval and post them to the series.
Expanding the Video selection(s) to include approved member videos is another way to increase content. If kept seperate from professional videos this will give your community a place to participate and show off their work and ideas.
Second suggestion is to have a collision / body repair forum and an Electrical Repair forum to complement the mechanical repair topics. This seems to be a natural progression for the forums, would cover all aspects of auto repair work, make locating information easier, and give forum users a broader more intensive experience.
As you have discovered, trying to do everything alone is a larger than anticipated task. One which demands more and more time as the site develops.

That’s actually what the ‘Repair Central, The How To Forum’ is for. That forum is where members can post their repair videos as well as their repair procedures.

To be honest I’m not much on body work, maybe it should have it’s own topic but there wouldn’t be much I would be able to offer there. I’ll consider it though.

As the site grows, more and more members will have various skill sets. Some of the member skills can contribute considerably in the body work area. Especially those who enjoy auto restoration and paint work. In time a section on this topic should begin filling in the blanks as questions are asked.
You have great potential on this site to develop it into one of the premiere forums for persons interested and active in auto restorations. In fact I bet most of those who visit here like to make something dull shine again, pop out those troublesome ugly dents, or fill in and refinish a rusted spot. All we lack is knowledge and encouragement most of the time, both of which are why we came here for mechanical insight. In many ways this all fits togather which makes your web site and forums so attractive for additional develepment in these areas.
In the next week or so I’ll start a thread for body related repairs and tips. Thank you for the suggestion, I think it’s a really good one.
WONFERFUL! Unless someone beats me to it I may catch the honor of christening the thread with a question I have been researching for a while.
