Hey guys, got a service and repair question regarding bumpers. My dad bought a 1995 Ford e350 5.0 V8. He had a 2000 Ford e250 which have a misfire and blew out 2 spark plugs so he decided to get rid of it. He asked me to find out if the e250’s rear bumper hitch will fit the e350 which has a standard bumper. Will it fit without any modifications preferably? Cant do any welding if it does require modifications. I need a quick answer. He’s picking it up now.

You mean a bumper-mounted ball hitch, not a frame-mounted hitch, right?

For the ball hitch to work, the ’95 E350 would need a rear bumper with a central “step” pad. If it has a standard “ribbon” style of bumper, there’s no place to attach the ball hitch.

Do you still have the blown 2000 E250 that had the ball hitch rear bumper? Those bumpers should be interchangeable, both of those vans belonged to the same production generation of E series vans.

Also will the trans from the blown 250 5.4 fit a 5.0 1995 engine?
