Hey guys,
I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I have a ’96 Ford Taurus GL with the 3.0 liter Vulcan V6, and recently (it just started happening today actually) it randomly will not start (whether it’s start remotely, or by the key). If I give it a little gas while cranking, it will start but the engine sounds like it’s misfiring, but it does even out after a minute or so of running. It will start without me giving it any gas too, however a few attempts (about four or five. And again, once the engine does start it’s misfiring and barely can stay running. I told my Dad about and he said it may be from all the city driving I do, and suggested I take it on the highway for a few miles and “blow it out”. I didn’t get the time to do that today tough. So, I figured in the mean time I’d ask for other suggestion if that doesn’t work. Thanks in advance. 🙂 Oh, and also, there are no trouble codes yet (I guess the PCM doesn’t see this as a big enough problem yet).
