The really annoying part of owning and driving a Taurus must be………..
1. Having to cover most of your face while driving it so people cannot actually see you because that must get awfully hot and uncomfortable in the summer; and
2. The real nuisance of having to camouflage the car when sitting at home in the driveway/ parking lot so your neighbours cannot see that you own one.

That is a Mercury Sable, look at the headlights.
Call me blasphemous, but 1999 Mercury Sable GS was a great car.[/quote]
You are wrong, that’s a Taurus

Sorry to disappoint you but the car in the video is definitely a Taurus. Ford sold that model Taurus in right hand drive in Australia for a while but never ever sold the Mercury Sable there. In fact I don’t think they ever built a Sable of that vintage in right hand drive.
With all those fibreglass panels much of the original body work is covered but the rear shows it to clearly be a Taurus. It has the typical Taurus oval rear window and the Taurus tail light and rear body treatment. The Mercury Sable of that vintage had a rectangle rear window and a completely different tail light treatment.

October 5, 2015 at 1:01 am #840708Someone around here has a Batmobile I think its a Taurus. It’s …
October 5, 2015 at 8:34 am #840775That seems like a lot of work to invest in something just to rag it out and then torch it. Nice touch on the roof scoops…….. 😉
For many years whenever the word ugly was used when discussing cars the Aztek was always the first one to pop up. Over the last couple of years I’ve changed my mind. The worst now (at least to me…) is the Nissan Juke. I’m at the point I could honestly drive around in an Aztek with pride and the window rolled down so my identity would not be hidden before being caught dead in a Juke.
Every time I see one I think of a bloated green bullfrog sitting on the riverbank waiting for the next bug to come by.
There was an interview once with ex-GM CEO Bob Lutz and he was asked about the Aztek. He stated that when he took over GM he tried to find out who gave the go-ahead to produce the Aztek and no one would ever confess. He said that if he had found out some heads would have rolled.

Aztek was synonymous with Ugly Duckling, but then so is a BMW X6 – looks the same.
Aztek is now cool. Why? Heisenberg.
I think the Aztek had other issues, like not-so-good build? My 2003 GMC Envoy XL has been an absolute tank.. NO issues.
