Ford ranger loses power once its put in gear

What would cause my 89 ford ranger to lose power when placed in hear? It starts and idles normal, but as soon as I put in gear it stalls out. Any ideas ?

Does it drive at all? could be fuel pressure.

Maybe a vacuum leak spray some water around vacuum lines and intake manifold and listen for changes in the engine and shaking, stalling
