I just bot a 2003 ford ranger XLT super cab 4×4 about a mouth ago. And my air bag light comes on 3 to 4 week after I bot it. The air bag light blinks 2 then 10 times the stays on. Obd 2 is showing no codes.

Presumably you don’t have any reliable vehicle history. Did you check the vehicle history (Carfax on other) before you bought it, to be sure it wasn’t in any accidents? If so, the airbag may not be original. Last night on the news there was a report of Chinese air bag knock-offs that don’t perform properly, so hopefully that is not your problem.

I would start with the simple things first, check fuses. I’m sure you know that, for your personal safety it would be unwise to fiddle with any part of an airbag without first disconnecting the battery and waiting for at least 15 minutes to allow internal capacitors to discharge.

Unfortunately you can’t get SRS codes with an OBDII scanner. Most times you need the dealer scanner to pull the codes. Once you pull the codes you’ll then know where to start looking. You might check with local body shops as they may have the scanner you need.
