Ford Focus 1.4 Diesel 2012 outside air temp -40

I replaced the battery this morning.
when I reconnected the battery I was left with a lot of battery warnings and the outside temperature reading -40 deg C. I checked the readings before I disconnected the battery and it read 3 deg C.
I cleared the codes for the battery, but am still left with the outside temp. reading -40deg C
The sensor is connected to its plug ok
Is there a procedure to reset this sensor ??

Usually when a sensor fails or has no communication it will
read -40. check the connector for corrosion.

I never knew the Focus came with a Diesel option….

If you have a lot of other battery warnings, something else is going on. The faulty reading on that sensor is but one symptom. You sure the rest of the charging system is good?

Also what other warnings are we talking?
