Ford Festiva Internal Shift Rail

Ok, I’m trying to get some parts for a 1993 Ford Festiva that’s been having some shift issues. After disassembling the manual transmission I found that the original Internal Shift Rail Assembly is damaged. It had been welded previously and broke again. Found a replacement in the scrap yard, and upon installation now there’s no 2nd gear. Before it was all forward gears but no reverse.

Does anyone know where I could get one of these internal shift rail assemblies? I’m trying to help out a kid in high school since his parents are for a lack of a better term, useless in trying to actually help their kids.
