Hello. I have a 2007 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. The last one I had was an 88 that was good to me many for years. over time, I figured out how to fix just about anything that went wrong with it.
I can use some assistance with tracking down why my horn doesn’t work. Most of the cop cars get the sirens spliced into the horn wiring and when they retire the car, the mechanics take the system out and rarely reconnect the horn. Most of the time, the spliced wires can be found below or behind the glove box. occasionally, they splice the alarms into the horn wiring under the hood.
I have traced almost every inch of wiring in this car; even pulled up the carpet and pulled some of the dashboard to no avail. I don’t see anything spliced in the horn wiring.
If you can help, that would be great since it is dangerous to drive without a functional horn.
would prefer not to run new wiring to a button on the dashboard because then I would have to remove my hands from the steering wheel to do so.thank you
