For Focus 2007 Station Wagon AC turns On / Off

Hello MR. Eric,

I am Fahad from UAE.
A big fan of your helping videos.

I have few queries regarding Ford Focus 2007 Station wagon (covered 170K KM):

but now i have seen some problems in it…..its cooling is still superb but what AC do : ….it turns on and off internally…how…while lights on AC….and other things in appearance remains same………….when it turn on/off…..i notices AC gas flow sound from AC lines inside..(that is normal when AC just turned On) but at the same time i also noticed passenger side relay switching sound…it clicks On and Off by itself in random time period…

Can you please guide me what is the issue?….is it relate to Pressure switches on lines….or only relay……or compressor issue?

If it is pressure switches issue then can i replace it? means i am not very technical in this field..but if there is no risk of any loss then i can do by some care…. can you tell me where are that switches? (low pressure and high pressure switch………i have listen about that names in your videos).

Please your kind help is required for me dear Eric…really appreciable….

With your manifold set on the high and low sides, check the pressures and see if the low side
is the one cycling the lp switch. If so you may be under charged. How did you recharge the system?

Brother, I got compressor failure recently. My car has cooling gas inside but compressor was completely failed to pick pressure — so i went to a mechanic and he told me same to change compressor. So he put used compressor and at the same time he filled the gas for AC as well. He checked the pressure also.

But from that time i have faced few things…like it was working well …cooling was great when i left mechanic shop but then from there i moved to car cleaning service….they washed the car…..when i move out after cleaning : from there AC cooling was dead same in a way that compressor is not working……

Next morning when i started the car…..it was perfect..it is now over 4 months i have not seen such situation again but previously described situation is on my shoulder from last 2-3 months.

Please tell me what i do…..because here in UAE if i will handover the car to mechanic they will add money on small issues….i have faced that already.

If i go to shop then What different points i can tell to mechanic to check or if possible i can do myself to free from this situation?

We are back to checking running pressures. When the previous compressor went bad you could
have had particles in the system and those particles could cause a restriction. So to diagnose this
you have to read running refrigerant pressures to see if its pumping down from a restriction or low
on charge.

Thanks for your wonderful help… i will go n check the car in a way u have informed me.
Lets see what outcomes i get…hope good..

One more thing i need to ask…same car….one more issue is…when i slow down my car to a speed to park my vehicle (u can consider 90 degree left or right car parking scenario )….and turned steering left or right …it start jerking ….like it will stop in any time….but when i give little acceleration it boost to normalize and i park the car normally..

My battery is ok
car has done 170k plus

Same i have noticed when i immediately press brake to slow down my car near any other car on running road..it jerks in same way but this i noticed less bcz it takes few second and i accelerate again…

What should be the problem sir 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 ford focus is filled with problem packages…

Is this spark plug issue? Fuel filter issue….or any thing else……pls note that i have recently done oil and its filter change…i also put injector in fuel tank with help of authorized technicians..as well.

Pls help me…really tired of 1 by 1 issues in car…

Can u suggest me some good car in Ford?..model? Now i will buy used….how about explorer…escape…fusion? Ur kind suggestion can help me a lot… :cheer:
