Fluid Film

So I’ve been hearing how great Fluid Film is for preventing and stopping rust and corrosion. Has anybody used this stuff and does it really work or is their a better product?

I’d like to use it on my car to hopefully slow down the rusting process that has now begun to take hold of my passanger side quarter panel along the bottom, around the gas filler door and rocker panel. Also to undercoat the underside of the car and hopefully save my sub-frame.

I’ve heard about other products as well like POR 15 but not sure which one works best or if it will help at all in my case here. My car is an ’01 Cavalier.

Ive never heard of fluid film.

However, POR-15 is excellent. However, it will only be a band aid fix if the metal is starting to rot and flake away 🙁

Yeah right rear quarter panel and pass side rocker are starting to rust out as well as around bottom area of the gas cap area, which I have seen that area rust out on tons of Cavaliers. Not sure about underneath the car but I’m sure the subframe prolly rusting too. My hope was to slow down the rusting process to prevent further damage. Im just not sure what product to go with.

I use fluid film all the time on literally anything that can corrode. It’s the easiest thing to apply and requires no prep. One application lasts one winter for me. The good thing about fluid film is that it penetrates porous rust which you obviously have and it goes all the way down to the clean metal to protect it. I buy it by the case and give half to my dad since he loves it too.
