Flex Plate 95 Olds Achieva 3.1 V6

Help Please . So the 95 olds had a new flex plate put in wk before lasts and a new starter. I would have don’t but because of back injury can’t do so of the old more indept work on cars anyways Friday 2/12/16 while driving on i5 south here in Tacoma wa the car stalled and we got stuck in the middle of freeway state trooper women came thank God and pushed us off the freeway. Towed home I check under this morning and car cranks no belts turn I got under car took of plastic ring around starer flex plate rotates when cranking took oil cap of and no spring moving up and down in the engine…
What can it be?…Wrong flex plate. stuck or broken pulley or pulleys or broken timing chain and if timing chain did new flex plate cause the problem…

hi in Australia we have MTA ( motor traders association)
not sure in USA what you guys have but if your case happen to me
there the people i would call .
basicly they will advise or make things happen.
im sure you guys have samething

Mechanic called me just now and verified what some of you guys said the flex plate. He told me that the center of the flex plate is broken off he wants me to bring over the old flex plate so he can get the right one and compare them. I now need another question answered please could this have ruined the tranny of motor in the process of braking down.
