fixing some ones stuff ups (fuel pump)

hi i just bought a 1300 auto mk2 escort sedan ive started working on it and noticed a bright red wire not taped up i followed it and found out the mechanical fuel has been bypassed and the electric pump runs of the radio wiring as most of you know its not the ideal spot to get power from so does anyone have a suggestion as to were to run the wiring from and do i need to use a relay

I would find a key on 12v power source to a relay.(control side) Come off the battery
for the 12v. fused to the relay.Then to the pump. 🙂
