We all have days like that sometimes.
Don’t let it get to you, just keep trying over and over again..May 9, 2012 at 11:00 am #445119The most sage advice I can give you is that, yes, we’ve all been there. I’m about to finish school, but I’ve already graduated the school of hard knocks. Keep yer chin up bud. You’ll be fine. Take every failure as a success, because you won’t make that mistake again. Next time, you’ll be telling someone, “NO NO NO, don’t do it that way, try this” and you’ll get what I mean.
May 9, 2012 at 11:00 am #445117I really wouldn’t beat yourself up over this. every day is a learning experience. sometimes cars will just flat out fight you. I am 50 years old and have turned wrenches since 16 and do not claim to know everything ( and anybody who does is blowing smoke )
May 10, 2012 at 11:00 am #445120What your going through is very normal as a student. Not just in auto, but any field. I went through this in engineering school and even went as far as talking to the dean of the school looking to drop out. He luckily talked me out of it. School and life can be a real grind that can really wear you down especially if you’ve been in for a few years. Hang in there because the more difficult the more the reward.
May 10, 2012 at 11:00 am #445121AnonymousI spent a year in law school before I realized that being a lawyer would depress the living (insert colorful word here) out of me, so I quit. Better to be happy than depressed. I know it’s horribly cliche’, but keep your eye on the prize and before you know it, you’ll be where you want to be. If you feel like the depression is overpowering, talk to someone and get it out on the table. It could be jitters, it could be living up to other peoples’ expectations, or it could be chemical. Whatever it is, don’t let it consume you.
May 10, 2012 at 11:00 am #445122Try not to beat yourself up as already suggested. Negative thinking usually brings out negative actions or causes bad things to happen (so my wife says).
There will always be vehicles out there that will ‘beat you up’ and ‘scar’ you. Just learn from your mistakes and those vehicles and you will be in good shape.
May 11, 2012 at 11:00 am #445123Well, I am not a mechanic by trade or a student, matter of a fact getting to close to being to old for either!
As many has posted earlier, relax, do not take everything to serious. Just when you find the answer to the riddle, some one will change the question!
Just knowing you are trying to come out perfect on every result tells me you could be setting yourself up to be a perfectionist. That is way to much of a load to carry.May 11, 2012 at 11:00 am #445124As most everyone has said here everyone has days like that, including myself, you just have to power through and don’t let your ego get in the way of your career. To quote a famous song, “so often times it happens that we live our lives in chains and never even know we have the key.” Chin up friend, you’re not alone.

May 13, 2012 at 11:00 am #445126One thing we all know that time will never stand still, regardless of what you see in the movie. With that, it either gets better or worse. The good news is, you get to make that choice. Some times you should not think, but just do, then it goes through it before you know it. That b/c my friend, time won’t stop nor wait. Time will always be at the same rate. But you get to choose when it’s time. So you can choose the thing that makes it better for you now or later. If all you tried and it won’t get better, at least you tried, but there’s always better options. You have to choose. Be happy!!!
