They’ll all good , where all car guys so anything with wheels is good for me , however , gun my head , I would say I’m a GM junky , with a penchant for Italian cars , particularly Alfa Romeo.

              Mopar 1960 – 1970.

I love the designers behind Chrysler, but they really need to hire some Toyota/Honda engineers for QA.
Definitely a Ford guy. I own 3 currently and overall they’ve been very good to me. Not a huge fan of where they’re headed with the Ecoboost twin turbo stuff, but Ford has always had issues with firsts and I’m sure they’ll be better soon. The key is to research and know what you’re buying and its reliability ratings and known issues and weigh the pros and cons. Every auto make has a few models that are “problem children” and most have quite a few that are great you just need to know what you’re buying before you commit. That’s why I read consumer reports religiously.
You don’t want the 2005 to 2007 Freestyle at all,the CVT transmission in them is a pile of junk.Any of their diesels after the 7.3 was dropped are to avoid also, blow up or come apart on their own.The Ford Escapes are another one,eat alternators due to location.Underneath near exhaust heat which kills them.Get a misfire code with a Ford coil on plug ignition system, replace the coil which these eat coils like candy.Ford has zero resale value and the worst to sell.My dad won’t have a Ford on his used car for resale, lose money on them and pour money into them.
