First off let me say happy new year to everyone. Secondly, I apologize if there is a specific sub-forum where this could go but I didn’t recognize any that were any more suited than this.

I wanted to know what were some of your favorite places to go, whether it be brick and mortar or online, for those hard to find parts?

I have been running into a lot of issues lately with a lot of the parts needed being discontinued from the factory when they were dealer only parts. I have used the following in the past, ebay, car-parts.com, and rockauto when I can but I often find either their supplies are limited as well, the item description is very poor, or I’m not sure about the supplier. I was wondering if I could get some advice from some of you more experienced techs & diy’s, and was hoping to build a list of good reputable non-standard parts suppliers.

That would be dependent on what kind of car you are looking for the parts on and what kind of part it is. Anything specific you have in mind?

Well for specifics I posted that in my ABS thread under the Service and Repair questions forum.

However, I was hoping to use this thread as a vehicle for compiling a list of good overall sources and suppliers for OEM and Aftermarket replacement parts in general.
