I’ve been posting a lot of salvage yard videos lately. Thought it might be time for something a little different.

Why not shoe-horn an old 7.3 Powerstroke diesel into the old Mustang?

A better question would be why?

Wow big progress on the Fairmont. The front end parts look great. Good find there. 🙂

Yea, it might be done before the ‘Meet Up’.

                Hi Eric,

It’s great to see this dream/project coming true for you. You deserve good things and to drive a vehicle about which you are passionate. I had 1982 Ford Fairmont that was the same custard color; seeing your Fairmont in your videos brings back memories but, sadly, I didn’t know what I had or anything about its potential.

Perhaps I can realize that potential. 😉

Amazing work on the Fairmont, it’s always great seeing things done so nicely.
I kind of wish you could put the old hubcaps on to help keep that “only driven on sundays” look.
Although that “only driven on sundays” could mean it’s laying down quartermiles at the drag strip

Eric, You have been doing some great work with this channel (and its sister). I love what you have done with the Fairmont. Just got your newsletter this morning and was reading about the engine doing 575 horses. Ouch! That makes it tough on the street. You are right about going to a TKO 600 for her. But may I suggest using a built AOD for the street. I know. Its more fun with a stick, but an auto will handle the power nicely.

The TKO 600 is already sitting on the floor of the shop. 😉

The plain black wheels have really grown on me. Also no hubcaps to pop off during hard cornering. As for the only driven on Sunday look, going to be difficult with the big intercooler sticking out front. I’m still working that out.

                          Thanks for your input.
