Anyone know where i might be able to get a California legal exhaust manifold for my 98 Nissan Frontier. I’ve looked online and all i can find are non California legal exhaust manifolds. I’ve tried the two scrap yards close to my house and no luck there either. I called a truck only salvage yard 1 .5 hrs from here and they had a couple Frontiers but manifolds were pulled already. If anyone has a direction i could take i would appreciate it. Dealer OEM is close to $900.

This one is for a 2.4

It is the only one I could find, maybe others will find some more.

Thanks Raistian. But when i look at that picture of the manifold it dont quite match my stock manifold. So i would be hesitant to buy it , looks like i would have to take it to a machine shop to have it modified to fit.

looking at the picture a bit closer it looks like someone made it. The stock one is cast iron i believe and that one in the picture looks to be steel pipe. Not sure though.

yeah, its a aftermarket one. Click on the picture, it is made by a company made MAC exhaust, it is brand new and states it is 50 state legal.

Finding a OEM one will cost you a fortune and the issue with used ones is “Is it any good?” there is no real way to test a cat besides installing it and seeing if the computer flags it.

🙂 Could I ask you why you are replacing the Exhaust manifold ? Is it cracked or has the cat failed on it ? Maybe if it only cracked, a machine shop could weld up the crack for you.

Did you ever find one? I looked up your part on RockAuto.com and shows a Dorman Part#674589. It does say Exc.California emmisions, but if you go to Autozone, they have the exact same part (Dorman 674589) and it says nothing about not for sale for California. I bought a set for my 97 Pathfinder from Rock Auto.com and all i had to do was remove the plug in the bung and install my O2 sensors.
