My 98 civic ex has developed a metal buzz only noticeable when taking off from a dead stop. Nothing at idle.

If I tap gas pedal quick at idle I can somewhat reproduce it. Inspection under the vehicle doesn’t show any metal heat shield rubbing.

I’m wondering if this rubber hanger not being straight can contribute to what I’m hearing?

Here’s a quick video I made while revving engine at idle. This was right under drivers seat. Can barely hear it. More audible inside the car.

I thought same. Less things to make a noise in the future.

It looks like they removed the small heatshield that was on the pipe before the cat. Will that affect anything?

Ok so I don’t if it’s related but my car for the first time ever just stumbled a little at a red light. It was a quick loss of power and it corrected itself. It’s been driving fine though, since my exhaust rattle fix a couple days ago I’ve noticed 1 out of 10 times it’ll hesitate briefly a mere second if I give it gas while coasting. Coincidence?
