Today I got a geo metro with a crank and no start. I tested spark, fuel pressure and compression (about 180 psi on all cylindes) An everything checked out ok but, when I floored it to try to do a clear flood mode cause the throttle body smelt really gassy so I cranked it over and it
really sounded like the timing was way off. Most of the slipped T-belts I see make the compression low so I pulled off the timing cover and found this laying down in the cover and the timing was off by about 3 or 4teeth.

Oh.., I guess I should say what it was huh..C:P
It was the tension spring for the timing belt, it came unhooked and got grabbed up by the timing belt I.
Did not damage anything else fortunately, all I had to do was put it back in time and it was good.T)
          Still very weird though.
