Ethanol test

I have a few gas stations who advertise “No Ethanol” Gas along with there normal Ethanol gas. I am wondering how would you test the pure gas to see if it really is pure?

Wow 3 weeks and not 1 answer….what gives everyone?

I am not sure how to test it. When I started up my lawn mower using non ethanol gas, I could tell a difference. Not only by the way it sounded, but there was a difference in the smell.

I believe you test it by using water and a mathematical equation. We talked about this briefly in my Ford drivability systems and diagnosis.

If i have time, ill go through that book we used.

Ok so you need a tester, this will work to tell if Ethanol is present.
