It’s not exactly my last video, but it is the last one I’ve edited for the year. I still have my live show on Wednesday and the conclusion of the Subaru timing belt video. That said, this video wraps up the year for me. I’d like to thank all of you for a great year. I’m looking forward to the new possibilities that 2014 will bring. Have a great Holiday!

Eric,
Just wanted to say thank you for your appreciation of everybody
and there efforts on the site. That means alot. We do have a great
community here. Looking forward to another great year. I would like
to personally thank you for creating this and all your hard work and efforts.
So thank you my friend. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Enjoy your time off. You deserve it.Paul K (College man) B)
December 16, 2013 at 8:01 pm #563195Thank you for all your hard work, Eric! We always have a great time watching your videos. I watch every one and try to get to every hangout I can with my busy law school schedule. I would be more of a contributor to the forum if I had more time but alas, I don’t. But it’s people like you who are super helpful and help out the common person who needs car help when they need it.
I can’t wait for the meet and greet this year. It’s always one of the highlights of my summer.
Be well, Eric and enjoy your time off. You deserve it!

I’m very happy to hear you say that. It’s true, you haven’t been here long, but you’ve brought a lot to the table. Thank you for that.
Have a great holiday!

One of the things I hope to figure out during my break is what I would require in an assistant. I’ve been doing this on my own for 5 years. It’s my baby. It will be difficult to hand over the reigns when the time comes. But first, I need to figure out what I need in an assistant. Then I need to figure out a budget for a salary. Then I will start my search. I will keep you in mind however.
Have a great holiday!
December 17, 2013 at 2:12 am #563350Sounds good and fingers crossed! =D
Happy holidays to you too Eric!
December 17, 2013 at 1:03 pm #563500Thank you again for the past years of videos Eric!
Quick thought RE water in the Vigor trunk – I’d bet the rear tail light gaskets are hardened and leaking. The Rain water runoff from the rear window runs around the trunk opening / gasket, and then comes straight down onto the top of thet tail light assemblies and pools there a bit. Only thing keeping it out of the trunk then is the gasket between the light cluster and metal body panel, and after 20 years those tend not to seal too well. I feel a bit silly offering advice to YOU of all people, but hey – couldn’t hurt right?
Happy Holidays, and enjoy the vacation!

You’re probably 100% correct. Don’t forget I’m an Acura master tech that worked at the dealer for 8 years. I’ve seen my fair share of Honda water leaks caused by tail light gaskets. In fact, I’m hoping to shoot a video on how to diagnose such water leaks when the weather gets warm enough for me to do the test.
Thanks for the input.
December 18, 2013 at 1:04 am #563548You get to do this for a living, we get help and info B) sounds like a good deal for all of us!
I found your channel a while ago via suggestions in the youtube side bar, those were on the ETCG channel. I appriciate these ‘side stories’ on things you run in to as a (car) mechanic, and your attitude towards mistakes, doing honest business and how you want to make your video’s.
The repair video’s are just how i like them, not too rushed, no sloppy work but not always 100% by the book either, honesty about that and some attention towards safety. Not going back to the basics of everything all the time, but not assuming that the things you are doing are all obvious to the viewers. I think you found a really nice balance between all those things, keep it up.
Mayby you could add a big ‘Thank you’ button on the FAQ pages, just to see how many people do use them and don’t need to start a thread on the forum as a result of all your typing. I can imagen that seeing questions you’ve answered countless times will become irritating.
What i also want to say is that, so far atleast, this forum seems to have a generally positive feel to it. Which in my experience is rare on forums where people ‘only’ sign up to get a solution to thier problem. I’m sure your own positive and helpful attitude has something to do with that, but also big thanks to the members here that just want to be nice and helpful 😉

Wow, that’s quite an endorsement, thank you. I like your idea of the ‘Thank you’ button. In fact, I think I’ll talk to my developer about it tonight. Thanks for your input.
