A new type of video has come to the ETCG lineup, the tool review video. Let me know what you think.

Nice..I also wanted one of these or perhaps snapon’s version..it gets very tiring to have to setup up the compressor all the time
October 25, 2013 at 8:52 pm #552127Not a bad little wrench. Not quite up to the specs of my air impact, but certainly a lot more convenient, especially when I am stuck working on something that isn’t right in front of my house. Thanks for the review!
October 26, 2013 at 3:50 am #552231i got in touch with jb tools he said he can’t get them with a au plug and he doesn’t know if it can run of U.S. 240v i’m just wondering because if it can i can just put on a new AU plug. but if it can’t i will need a transformer
October 26, 2013 at 4:48 am #552235Great video man. Love to watch tool reviews. Whatcha think you’ll be doing next?
Im currently in the market for a good torque wrench and would love to watch a review on some of those… not sure if that would please the masses however.

The next video is already done and it is a tool(s) that have been a long standing request at ETCG. Truth is that people are starting to take notice of what I’m doing with the reviews and they’re starting to send me stuff. I almost think at this point I won’t have to plan any new tools I can just pick from the stuff that gets sent.
It’s good to be me. 🙂 It’s good to be you too because I don’t plan to sugar coat bad tools. If it’s a crap tool I’m going to call it out. I plan to keep the reviews honest. Otherwise, why bother?
December 8, 2013 at 9:29 pm #561498Hey Eric,
I totally love your video’s.
It looked in this video as if you overtorqued the lugnuts with the full force of the impact tool.
These lugnuts usually need something like 100Nm/70ftlbs.Keep up the good work!

I appreciate your concern, but I don’t think it’s an issue here. Also, I think it’s 80lbft. I have addressed this concern in the past.
January 8, 2014 at 7:27 am #567337Is it me or did you just skip over the rubber “grommet” issue at ~5:47
granted you did hit your brand new tool with a hammer (I loled), but in this case I think it may be poor craftsmanship and not user abuse.
Are these rings considered consumables by the manufacturer? is it just an O ring or what?
Attachments:January 8, 2014 at 4:05 pm #567372The tool was fresh out of the box so it wasn’t abuse. The rings are replaceable and do wear out. In this case there is a rubber ‘o’ ring under the metal ring. It just happened to roll up. It would likely work even if the rubber ‘o’ ring wasn’t there. In short, it’s not a major concern.
January 23, 2014 at 8:00 pm #570586Any news after 3 months of using? How is it compared to the DeWald 18v?
Greets from Germany

The AC Delco is holding up fine. I’ve actually had it for almost 6 months now. You really can’t compare it to the DeWalt however as that was a 3/8 tool, this was a 1/2.
January 25, 2014 at 2:34 am #570858Ah… didnt see that. Sadly in Germany there is no one selling the AC Delco stuff. The usual suspects (Bosch, Ryobi, Makita, Metabo) are much weaker.. about 200-400 NM and a lot more expensive.. hm :/
January 27, 2014 at 10:44 am #571238i bought mine ac delco impact from jb tools it cost a bit more in postage to aus then what it is for usa as to be expected but they helped as best as they could they couldn’t get me a 240v charger but i went to the ac delco website and they sent me one with the right plug for 240v aus for $40us plus postage no idea what it would cost for a impact gun with charger from ac delco website (no reps in aus for ac delco for me either)had no troubles with it so far p.s. there made by durofix

I hadn’t considered you needing a different charger in AUS. Keep us posted on how the tool works out for you. Thanks for your input.
