A new type of video has come to the ETCG lineup, the tool review video. Let me know what you think.

Nice tool review. ๐ Over all not a bad little impact gun.
Looked good for lugs and tire rotations. Try and use it for
jobs around the shop to let us know its strengths and weakness.
What about cost?October 17, 2013 at 1:43 am #555464Really enjoyed this! I doubt I’ll be purchasing the specific brands that you guys can buy in the states as i’m in England. However the types of things you review will be of help.
I have an electric impact gun but it’s corded and hooks up to the mains. its an EXCELLENT tool nd looks very similar to your cordless one.
mines a bit weaker (pulls up to 450nm if memory serves) but really useful.
bit heavy though. that’s the only downside

The price was listed in the description. I did it that way in case it changed over time. It can also be found here.

Honestly, I think I quoted that torque wrong. I was reading from the owners manual but I’ll admit that I can be somewhat dyslexic sometimes.
October 17, 2013 at 2:25 am #555495Either way it broke that axel nut loose with ease.
great idea for a new set of videos though eric, well done. look forward to the next tool review ๐
October 17, 2013 at 10:11 pm #555716You paid 289$ for everything what in the box?
October 17, 2013 at 11:00 pm #555718Looks good what about car jacks this would be real great idea for diy car nuts like my self ie what lifting load would you say would be and hight it can lift to, and which axle stands to use any advise would very welcome thanks paul the plumber Rochdale England.
October 18, 2013 at 7:39 pm #555840Tool review videos is an excellent idea!
Any cordless wrench that can undo a hub nut gets my vote!
I bought a 1/2″ Sealey one years ago for removing wheel bolts a bit quicker but it’s rubbish compared to that AC Delco one.

Is it the Clarke one from Machine Mart for about 80 quid? That looks like a good tool.
I suspect they are heavy because of the gearbox & motor required to put that kind of torque out?
October 18, 2013 at 9:56 pm #555897Soilpack… yes spot on mate. I had my eye on a couple and plumped for the Machinemart one. I can really recommend it. it took off the rear axel nuts on my ford fusion with ease. but as you mentioned…. bit heavy. I don’t really use it much so that’s ok but I imagine if I had to use it lots it would become tiresome

I think this was a very good start for this new lineup of videos :cheer:
I like that impact, if I hadn’t recently bought my new IR 7150 , which by the way sports very very similar specs to the AcDelco, I’d have considered buying this one.
Anyway, like others, I’m curious to see how well it will perform in the next months, especially with rusty suspension bolts, axle nuts, exhaust clamps, and so on.Also, if you happen to have to remove that red Integra’s (isn’t that your brother’s car?) crank pulley bolt, I’d be curious to see if it can cope.
Honda’s crank pulley bolts are often taken as a comparison of impact torque ๐After all it’s specs are even higher than your air-powered IR2135!! :woohoo:
I look forward for the next reviews Eric! :cheer:
Keep ’em coming!Live long and prosper (and stay dirty!)

To be honest I’m not sure. You should contact J&B tools for specifics on that. Also, AC Delco makes the tool. If you want to know if they make a model for Australia you’d have to check with them. Honestly, I would think they would make a different model for your market but I don’t know for sure.
October 22, 2013 at 9:25 am #556559Thanks Eric, great idea the tool videos, just a potty the ac delco one is expensive here in Aust around $600.00. But I am going to check it out Thanks Johnno ๐ ๐
