I think a video about sourcing automotive parts would make a great ETGC1 video. Maybe you can talk about any tips and options on the subject. From what I noticed, for the same brand and type of part, prices can vary widely. I personally try to get parts from Rockauto as they are the cheapest I found so far. If they don’t have I then check the dealership via the internet, go to a junk yard, or check eBay. For junk yard parts, is there any suggestions for the DIYer? Are there types of junk yards better than others (e.g. u-pull types vs those an employee must remove it, etc)? Maybe junk yards could be a whole separate topic.
Maybe you can also talk about this in general from the perspective of both as a shop and as DIYer trying to buy parts. I would suspect that a shop would rather to pay more for a part and get it right away instead having to wait on UPS/FedEx.
You could also talk about pros and cons of “economy” parts vs OE vs premium aftermarket.
