ETCG1 Topic: Safety Glasses Tint

I have an idea/seed for an ETCG1 video. “Safety Glasses: Amber vs Clear, Pros and Cons” I think it would be a great topic of discussion to educate “mechanics in the making” about what’s the best eye protection for a specific job.

I literally came onto the board to ask if there’s a specific advantage to wearing amber glasses over non-tinted ones (I’ve occasionally wondered why Eric always seems to wear amber ones), and I immediately find this thread 🙂

Amber lenses reduce glare and reflections, and may (or may not) provide a certain level of UV protection.

The subject of safety eye wear can become quite complex when you delve into it, and different countries will adhere to different international and national standards.

With the proper research, though, this would be an interesting and informative video topic for the community.
