Hey all, I’m getting a check engine and VSC warning on my 07 Camry XLE 5.7. It’s throwing a couple codes. The last time it was a coil pack, so I had Advance check the code and it says 2 coil packs are bad. The first is cylinder B the second is Cylinder C. Can someone tell me which cylinders these are or have a diagram? I’m hoping it’s on the front side. The back side of the engine is a bite to get the plugs out.
      Thanks

If you are getting a P0352 and P0353 it is pretty easy… Cylinder 2 and 3 are showing the problem.

Where did you get a Camry with a 5.7L? I want one!!! :cheer:

        In a V6 it is

        1 3 5

        2 4 6

        ^

As facing the engine from the front of the car…

Ok I got the coil packs changed out. I still have a code P0365 camshaft position sensor bank 1, P0368 which also has to do with the position sensor, and C1201. Where is the camshaft bank 1 position sensor located?
I find it strange that I’m getting all of these codes at once. I didn’t have any check engine lights on until yesterday, now all of this.
          Thanks
Laughing about the 5.7, not sure where that came from, it’s the 3.5. Was up for 20hrs when I posted last night.

The Camshaft sensor is on the side of the head and bolts in…

In this pic, you can see the Bank 2 Cam sensor (black sensor) on the lower right hand side of the picture just above the Hose with yellow stripe going into the engine… Bank one as you would naturally guess, is on the other side (near the firewall)…

Check your battery connections are clean and tight and do a voltage and load test on the battery…

Disconnect the negative cable on the battery for 30 seconds and then re-attach…. Drive around and see what comes back…

Thanks Karl, you are a master. Disconnected the battery for while, lights still on, but car was running great. Drove it for a bit, and wow, the lights went off. No check engine, nothing.
Does the computer need a bit of time to reset?
The car is running great. Averaging 31 miles per gallon for a v6.
Thanks again for the expert advise.

Let me say this… It may come back… I wanted to reset it and you to check your battery condition and connections… Poor connections and/or a weak battery can cause unusual codes to pop up…

If it comes back let us know…

Gotcha. I read past some of your post. The car was just at the dealer for a trans fluid change. They checked the battery and a couple other things and gave a report of minor things that were wrong. The battery wasn’t on there, but that doesn’t mean anything. The connections are good though. I’ll check that out tonight. I don’t remember the last time it was changed, which means it probably needs to be changed. Thanks again for the help
