Hey Eric, I just watched the video why mechanics drive “crappier cars” and your videos on rich people, and just lifestyle as a mechanic and now an entrepreneur. As much as you’ve covered every faucet of mechanics, and reliability, I haven’t heard much little kid racer talk about what are some of your favorite high performance “rich” or luxury vehicles. From my prospective, learning about my mundane car- a lot through your channel 🙂 – different parts and their interactions, and the engine etc has all made me appreciate even more the art of driving, spending time going down the road as well as admiring and appreciating vehicles with greater engineering, as well as sportier and higher performance cars that can do incredible things and push the limits on performance. Its as if the more I learn and get a better feel for my own car and its capabilities, the more I enjoy the better faster, newly engineered cars because they push the bar higher in terms of performance, technology, and just beauty and art …..Long question short, as you learned about cars, did you appreciation for performance and driving increase? And if within your budget, would owning a fun, sunny-day, higher end-car ever something you’d desire? Even in your dreams. I’d love to hear what your thoughts are on just some fun driving, not just reliability, gas mileage and practical things. Do you have opinions on what amount you could spend on a corvette, Porsche or Ferrari and what price for that fun is justified and when it just becomes exuberant and the form and function becomes more for name and appeal not for actual delivery? I guess what are some of your stories with driving higher end or performance cars…I just like listening to the stories! Blessings bud, love your stuff and practical down to earth methods of feeding us “knowledge veggies” that are wrapped up and disguised as quality fun entertainment!

I used to work on Acuras. I’ve worked on a few NSX’s and that’s probably the performance car I’m most familiar with. I also got the chance to drive a C7 on a race track in Bowling Green KY a couple of years back. I drove an Audi RS6 on a frozen ice lake in Finland. Those cars are cool know doubt, but I found I’m not as good a driver as I thought when it comes to high speed.

Those cars are cool, but to be honest I’m most excited about driving Oliver. That’s the car that gets me the most excited. Why? Because at the end of the day, it will be something I built. There won’t be any other car like it on the street. It will be hand made to my tastes. I really can’t imagine something better than that.

Can’t argue there at all! It was so cool seeing you go over the project with your pops!
