Eric’s orange hydraulic floor jack

Hi Eric,

I’ve noticed that your hydraulic floor jack handle lifts upwards (does not stay in place) when you have a load on the jack. Im pretty sure that’s not right. Im no hydrauic expert, but somewhere in my memory there’s probably a ball-valve in the jack thats not seating right….

Out of curiosity, what brand jack is it?

Yea it’s getting old and the valving isn’t as good, hence the reason I always back it up with jack stands. It’s an old Harbor Freight jack that wasn’t that much to begin with.
