I use non slip sneakers with steel toe caps. There extremely comfy. They do not offer any ankle protection like a pair of boots would though.

I’m also using a pair of non-slip sneakers I had while working in the food service industry. They are comfortable, but they don’t have a steel toe. They hold up pretty well as I was on my feet and walking around 99 percent of the time. I just don’t know if they’re up to automotive work.

I go bare foot, I love the way the oils and dirt feel between my toes…Just go to your local wal mart and get yourself a pair u can afford, who cares what kind people wear..Everyone is different, so u may get soo many different answers u might be just as confused about what to wear than u are now…TIP…If u don’t care the color then what i do is wait til after hunting season at walmart prob in the month of decemeber is to go to the sports/hunting section and see if they have marked down their camo work boots.I got a pair of $100 boots for $25..Also got a $120 hunting jacket for $25..I waited until they went down in price..Actually when i got the jacket it went down from $120 to $45 so i bought it.Went back the day after and saw they went down again to $25,so i returned it and got it for $25…..There ya go, And they were nice boots, waterproof and comfy….So head out there and see if they still have any left still….

I would get a good pair on non-slip steel toe boots.., any brand should be fine.

I stood on an auto assembly line 8-10 hrs a day wearing cheap Rustler (Wranglers) that cost around $30.00 plus some good soles. They’re so cheap when they get damaged or worn out you just buy another pair

I wear Dakota work boots, usually last a year and a half or so.

I’d love to have some steel-toe calf-high Logger’s boots with them little flap thingys over the foot arch. Tough boots
