I was just out on the pourch thinking about the last few days we have had here in muskogee oklahoma….
We have had 2 earthquakes in less then 24 hours…One was 4.7 and the other was 5.7.
Then I thought about erics email and how it made me think of my dad and what he once said to me.

He said son it can only stay dark for so long and the nice thing about the dark is (knowing light is soon to show)
Eric you are probably one of the greatest guys out there-
Before my dad pasted he was always the one I ran to with auto qustions….Afterwards I had no one to ask and the ones iv asked I did not trust.
Until eric came along -Eric your now the only one I ask help from…You help me more threw emails then any autozone or Tech has ever helped me. I wanna say thanks….

One last thing….I once asked my dad how I become rich.
He said – Take a idea and make it yours…Just because its anthor mans idea does not mean you cant improve on it for your self.
      Eric you took the ideas

They say if you work to be rich, you will never be rich, but if you work hard at something you believe in and its for the good of others, riches will come your way.

Eric I am a DIYer and I can fix just about everything. However, there are times in a repair when I get to something simple and cannot proceed with the repair until I solve the simple problem. Case in point. I have a 97 Acura RL and I have located the problem for a crank and no start problem. It is the fuel pump relay in the Main Relay Black Box. The main relay in this car is under the dash next to the steering column. The main relay black box has two connectors on it. The connector on the right side of the main relay black box is the fuel pump relay which drives 12 volts to the fuel pump. It will not come loose. I have easily removed the connector on the left side of the main relay. This is a tight location to work in and the wiring harness does not have much slack in it. I have tried every which way to remove this connector but it will not come loose. This should be a 5 minute job but for the sack of this little connector it has become a major stumbling block. The connector wiggles from the base but I cannot see what to press to release the locking mechanism on the connector. I have pressed everything on the connector and used a small screw driver to ply it loose to no avail. Do you have any suggestions about how to remove this connector?

I resolved my problem with the connector. I went to the junkyard and they had a main relay with the connectors attached. The junkyard guy let me play with the connectors and I was able to figure out how to release the connector from the main relay box. I went home and got under the dash and release the connectors from the main relay box. The main relay is mounted on a bracket under the dash next to the steering column. The bracket slides into two groves on the top of the main relay box. After prying and pulling on the relay box, it would not release from the bracket. By accident, I pushed the relay box back instead of pulling it forward and it came right off the bracket. Duh! Anyway, I was able to do the repair in a couple of minutes after figuring out how to do it. I want to thank all those who tried to help me with this repair.
