      I have a 2007 gmc sierra 4×4 4.8 motor I want to put in a 5.3 is that as easy as swapping motors or will I run into electric issues along the way

        not only will you have to swap the engine, but you will have to swap the PCM, all the wiring too it, and then may even have to have a PCM spacifically programmed for the swap. Nothing is impossible with enough money, but it won’t be as simple as swapping engines.

          With something as common as a 2007 Gm pickup, your money would be better spent upgrading the motor that’s already in there.

            A 4.8 is capable of making a good amout of power. A cam, intake, head work, exhaust and an ECM tune and that engine will be capable of making 350+ hp. Good thing about that is you can save up for each upgrade.
