        They already have engines like that, called the Wankel or more commonly Rotary. Low displacement, low parasitic and frictional power losses and rev high.

          I think it’s FIAT has been doing it for a few years already. Valves are actuated by solenoids.

              2 strokes don’t have cams, or even valves. Similar to the Rotaries Chevy mentioned. Been around a long time.
