I have been having this annoying engine tick at idle for some time now. I have used different types of oil as well as 10w-30 oil (mine calls for 5w-30). I decided to use some gunk motor flush on my next oil change. I used it as the instructions directed. Put it in and ran for 5 minutes at idle. Within the first minute the tick completely disappeared. I went ahead and fulfilled the 5 minutes then went ahead and did an oil and filter change like usual. The tick reappeared the same as usual the first second I turned it on after the flush 🙁 . What causes it to go away with the motor flush in the oil? Is there any solutions to this problem? Regards, Arthur. P.S. Car is a 2005 Chrysler Sebring Coupe 2.4L SOHC (the ones you find in same year/engine size eclipses).
