I have a sound coming from the engine compartment of my 2008 Pontiac g6 4cyl.
The sound comes from when I turn off the engine. I recorded a video, listen as I start the engine and let it run for a few seconds then turn it off, you will hear a strange sound just after it turns off.

I don’t believe this Pcv is serviceable from the looks of it, I don’t quite understand what it does or where it is located. I searched online and stuff comes up about EGR if that is the same thing.

Does your brake pedal feel normal while driving? When you turn the engine off, can you pump the brake a few times until the pedal gets rock hard, or does it get hard right away? Has your fuel economy (mpg) gone down? The reason I ask those questions, is that it sounds like stored vacuum is leaking backwards through the system and exiting (or sucking air) through the IAC port or throttle plate after the engine shuts off. If that is the problem, the brake booster won’t hold vacuum after you shut it off and the brake pedal will get stiff right away, and you have either a big vacuum leak or brake booster check valve is faulty.

GM switched to this system to minimize oil consumption. In any case, I would check for vacuum leaks.

The brake pedal does not get hard right away, it does take multiple pumps before it does get hard.

Could it be this, it doesn’t seem like it’s connected properly, though I have no experiance with this type of thing. It sort of wiggles when I move it around. But I can’t push it any further on.
