Hello, im new on the forum,im an enthusiast of cars and i am from venezuela so excuse for misspellings.
I have a mazda 3 2.0 liter A/T 07, and im like a maniac with this car, i noticed that the tailpipe is always covered with mm tar? its black at the bottom, even if i clean it , the next 3-4 days gets black really quick, so i did some research and i may be running rich, others say that is normal on mazdas, the other symptom is that when im driving and i pull over (like in idle) my rev goes down and it goes up again really quick and shake a little, it does not happen all the time but its annoying. so the question is , if this 2 symptoms are realated and how to fix them.
Another symptom is that my car sometimes wont start, i have to pass the key 3 or 4 times until it starts and it doesnt make any sound like clic, the starter does not sound, nothing sounds, just wont start, while lights on the dash turned on, but this happens reraly like 7 days it starts at one , one day wont.
I just described this because i read that if you are runing reach or lean, you will have trouble to start up your car.
I watched the videos and i already clean my maf sensor, throttle body, put some Wynss inyector cleaner twice (hard to get in venezuela). There are no check engine lights on so, i think my O2 sensors are okey, and the car doesnt feel slow or anything, there is no black smoke coming out of exhaust. It has 80k kilometers.

Your best bet would to put a scanner on it to see what the upstream o2 is doing.
Also look at fuel trims. One thing you could do is pull the plugs and see what they look
        like.

You said sometimes you have to turn the key several times before it’ll start, sometimes you don’t get even a click like the starter is trying. I’d check the neutral safety switch. Try starting it neutral. If it stops misbehaving my first guess would be the switch is sticking or mis-adjusted (or just plain broken).
