My skoda felicia 1.3 1999 carb engine is having a problem, it starts normally then cuts out after 2 seconds, if i keep the gas pedal pressed it will only run if i press the carburetor accrlerator pump lever, otherwise it wil run rough and stall, car has a mechanical fuel pump and its lever moves when operated even though not much in my opinion, fuel filter is barely filling up, before it used to be full almost to the top, what can be the cause? The fuel pump when tested it blew what i think a good amount of squirts of petrol in a bottle

I hope you first added some fuel to the tank to ensure the problem is not an inaccurate fuel gauge telling you there is fuel when there is none.
The next things I would check are the rubber hoses and metal fuel lines.
Are you sure the fuel filter is not clogged?
After that, do volume and pressure tests.

I just added 40 litres of fuel few days ago it still almost full, rubber and fuel lines are all ok, fuel filter is new, engine only idles when i keep pressing the carburetor accelerator pump lever.

This is a great link to help you determine exactly where the problem is.

Since I don’t know you or what kind of cars you have driven, I have to ask:
If you have only driven fuel injected cars do you know to pump and release the gas pedal before starting, so that the fast idle cam and the choke reset to their cold start positions?.
Since the filter is new and the tank is full, you should check fuel pressure.

Carbureted engines that start and stall, if fuel pressure and volume are correct are either vacuum leaks, choke misadjusted or internal carburetor problems
This does assume that the engine itself is otherwise in good order–particularly the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap & rotor, air filter, pcv valve and compression all being good.

Thanks for reply, i only driven carbed cars and i know about the pumping gas pedal thing, i rebuilt the carb about 1.5 years ago it ram very good since until now. Only problem i see is ignition coil lead it has alot of green stuff corrosion inside, the ohms of all other wires were consistant at about 7-10k ohms , the one which goes to the ignition coil(cylinder type) was jumping around not being so consistent in the resistance. Havent checked spark plugs but they are fairly new, about a year and a half old also. Distributor cap and rotor replaced recently, spark plug wires have about 3 years on them. Car has 140000 miles. Air filter is fairly new also,

The corrosion on the coil wire is sure to be a problem.
Too many years passed since I’ve worked on single coil ignition systems, so I don’t recall if the corrosion itself causes the trouble or if it is a result of trouble, which just adds to the problem.
At the very least, there has been moisture intrusion and that needs to be cleaned and a good dielectric silicone applied to keep moisture out..
I’d check the primary and secondary windings of the coil to make sure the coil isn’t bad
You’ll really need the manufacturer’s specs to know what the acceptable range is.

I will check it after work today, but i dont think it has to do because then why do i have to keep the accelerator pump lever pressed to keep it from stalling? It lacks fuel in my opinion, and i dont have a fuel pressure gauge myself

Go back and reread my replies.
In the first, I recommended you look for fuel leaks & do fuel volume and pressure tests.
In the second, .I provided a link, so you would know exactly which additional fuel issues to check
In the third, after you described a coil wire issue, I said that is A problem. NOT that it was the entire problem.

Just because a car has one issue, does not mean that it is the only source of trouble.

                        You’re welcome Jonny.
                        Glad you got it fixed.
Thanks for posting the solution to the problem.
