      hey erick i have a question i have a canadian 98 honda accord 2.3 single overhead cam 16 valve engine and i wanted to buy a used japanese engine that are imported from japan the place were im going to buy it guaranteed the engine for a 1 year the engine was oil pressure tested, compression tested and leak down tested they also told me that all engine have a mileage of below 50000 since strict emission laws in japan retrict any vechile on the road above 50000 miles they also implyed that these engine do not come with a crank sensor but stated i can remove my crank sensor from my old engine and install it to the japan engine. is it possible? these engine are $450 and this is a heck of a deal is it possible to put a honda japan engine to my canadian honda.

        I think you’re dealing with Japan Engines. I’ve gotten many engines from them in the past and haven’t had any problems. I don’t think you should have any issues going with an engine from them. Keep me posted on your progress.

            hey Eric since i saw that you liked japan engine i went and bough a engine for my van and it ended up costing 845 plus seal,belts ,water pump ect and when i was done the engine didn’t have compression and would not rev past 3000 rpm. Im not blaming you but i don’t recommend them.The engine had tons of carbon build up and i has to clean everything off only the find out it was a junk engine.
