engine note

      I dont know about everyone else but i love a good engine note that is natural and i wanted to know what everyone here including eric thinks about all these new cars making fake engine notes through the stereo.

          It does seem kinda lame. It’s like when you were a kid and and you’d make motor noises as you played with your Matchbox cars.

          As for a video. I’ll consider it. Thanks for the suggestion.

            Exactly it seems like the engineers are so focused on “Eco” they forgot about how the car sounds which is important for car lovers

              I don’t think that’s the case. I think it’s a marketing thing. People expect to hear the engine when they step on the gas. If they don’t, the perception is that the vehicle doesn’t have any power. Having the sound system make engine noises is actually a very economical way of accomplishing this task. Genius really.

                it is genius i just hope they leave some of the nicer sports cars alone and also i wonder if that would make it harder for techs to diagnose noises from the inside of a car? they should at least offer a way to turn it off or make it an option that you dont have to get.
