engine misfire

hey guys need some help on a car i’m working on it is a 1995 ford escort 1.9 liter with a misfire problem. I replaced the coil and plug wires no change in the way it runs at idle still misfiring? AS i increase engine speed it seems to smooth out so im thinking at this point air / fuel mixture problem leaning towards a maf sensor but i have no codes to confirm that. What’s the easiest test i can do to test the sensor? Thanks for any help on this.

You can test a maf sensor with a dvom but a misfire will mess with results it is unlikely that a maf would cause ur missfire I would look for a clogged injector or a bad spark plug
