I recently changed the timing belt on my car., unfortunately I didn’t secure the cam. In other words it jumped. Based on the service manual all I need to do is to align the markings on the cams as well as the marking on the crank shaft then all should be ok. In a perfect world probably, coz mine doesn’t have any marking on the crank shaft and theres no marking on the pulley either. On the service manual it is stated that if markings cant be located, set to TDC. And I have.. several times. Now my car starts and thats about it. I dont know what Im doing wrong. dont like to take it to the dealer, it will cost me my arms and legs and they will also ask for my soul. Suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! Is this a Ferrari 360 you are working on? I never touched one, would have loved too. Did some looking, seems some cars from the factory had no marks and those that did, most Ferrari experts say that they are just starting point, you need dial indicators to do a thorough job. Might look here: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q-sponsored-algar-ferrari/368247-camshaft-timing-marks.html

Hope am not breaking rules linking to another forum.

Hello HeavyJ! Yeah its a 360 Modena F1. Purchased it not long ago from a filthy rich guy for… lets just say its like buying a brand new mid sized Japanese car. Thank you so much for the link and for the effort of looking it up. Greatly appreciated!!! Haven’t read the whole thread yet.. Will give you up date if it works or not. I hope it does.. I miss driving it.
