Engine Flush

Would like to get some input on engine flushing using diesel/petrol? good idea or not?

Speaking only for myself, I wouldn’t do it to any of my vehicles. I only use auto trans fluid (ATF) or purposely-made motor flush for this, and in extreme cases, Berryman B-12.

No. Not a good idea. Also I heard bad things about flush fluids sold in stores.

I wouldn’t on my own, nor a customers car. The only thing I’ll use is Seafoam or ATF as mentioned above as a cleaning agent.

PS: Sometimes using a cleaning agent can open up Pandoras box. Carbon can get lodged places it shouldn’t be, as one example.
