      Hello,
      I’m preparing my car for extreme winter here, temperatures

        I would go for the block heater as that is what you are trying to protect after all. Removing freeze plugs is actually much easier than you think, in fact I think I remember my friend Duane from RealFixesRealFast did a video on this, here’s a link.

          I’m just mentally coming up with what I might do if I hadn’t seen the video.
          I’m thinking a drill, a strong toggle bolt and a slide hammer.

          But I’d try Duane’s way first.

            Nice video Eric. I hope I don’t need to take out the Engine though as I won’t be able to do it. Hopefully one hole is accessible enough to get the block heater in. The car is a Chevy blazer S10 2001 4×4 and I believe the freeze plugs are beneath the spark plugs, which those were a pain to replace last time I did it.C;(

              Well your not going to have a lot of space to work with for sure but try going in through the wheel wells, I’ve had luck there in the past. Good luck.
