Im just interested in seeing other peoples thoughts. i personally like it so im thinking of opting in. granted i blew a 1000 on a crap PC cause of my mistakes in the build. so throwing 1000 or so doesn’t seem like that bad of a idea.

For a long time I’ve thought Elios is nothing more than a scam designed to draw in venture capital and government handouts based on vague promises.
My prediction from the start was that Elios (like the VV1 turned Persu, WheeGo, and others…) are going to end up dead and buried.

I also think a story came out today (?) where the NHTSA is not going to consider the Elios a car. They are going to classify it as a 3 wheeler. Soccer mom and a kid in the back are not going to take kindly to wearing a helmet……

I like the concept. Like the design. Like the fuel economy. I would consider getting one. Would not want to be broad-sided despite the crash test safety -That would always be on my mind.

I hope it does well and starts a new market of really cheap cars. Would really help out a lot of people who can’t afford to buy a car and commute. Cool idea.

i honestly think it would work out but according to the hate in the comments not so much, now im a 1000 USD backer and i have my shirt bumber sticker and Spot In Line number “18977” so that means there are more than 18977 1000 dollar backers so im just glad im not the only fool to be suckered in to this when or if it flops.
