What’s the secret to the plastic clips that go into computer parts (the big rectangular ones with lots of wires)? I mean, I understand the concept. I know you gotta push in the tab while you pull the clip out. But why does it take me ten times longer to get them loose than any other kind of fastener? I always end up cussing and screaming, especially when I’m wedged up under the dash board like a contortionist. Is there some kind of trick to it? (I already use a screwdriver to push the tab in).

I sympathise with you. I hate some of the connectors on cars today myself. Problem is those connectors have to fit tight, first so they won’t fall out, second, some of the pins inside carry very low voltage and can’t be even a little bit loose, third, some connectors are sealed tight so no moisture will enter the connection.

I agree as well. The fasteners have gotten ridiculous. I swear they do it so people are forced to take the car to the dealer out of pure frustration. At least they are secure though, my horn constantly loses its power wire due to a loose “slip on” terminal connection that slides off every so often from the engines vibrations.. I really should fix that
