Ok normally after doing a few the with the scope on a rope and volt meter i can figure the issue but on my personal truck i been trying to figure why i have not blower speed control other than high. On high speed i know it bypasses and feeds full power from the relay so to test the speed switch i feed 12v direct to each single wire and it feeds all 4 wires to the switch and ign if i turn the selector switch on. So the issue i’m having is how is it back feeding if the way i see it each of the wires color tan, lt blue and orange are single wires with no junctions. Any help or other methods of trying to figure how the wires are being feed 12v when i try to control any speed other than high and the blower turns off . Thanks in advance for any help and info you may be able to share.

Ok i feel stupid lol it was the relay that i figured to overlook. Ages ago when i first bought the truck i replaced it because i had no power to the switch so for the first winter i hooked 12v direct into the relay to the motor well after a burnt out motor in a month i replaced the blower and ran a switch straight from 12v to the blower for full speed well i hate being hot so i wanted a lower speed so i kept looking until i found the idiots cut before cut the ign feed brown wire so that solved that but no speed i think i fried some thing feeding 12v to the new relay a year ago so i hooked the old one back up and bam works great.

That problem normally indicates a issue with the resistor block. It’s at the top middle of the diagram. I believe it’s located under the hood fastened to the outside of the HVAC box. It’s usually pretty easy to get to. Glad to hear you got the fan working again though. It DOES need a relay though. Otherwise you’ll burn up the switch.

          Keep us posted.

That actually was bad i bought a new one hoping to solve the issue after a few test and when i installed it same issue 12v was back feeding to the switch trying to power all the relay contacts I’m guess or something. Just glad i finally figured it out had my scratching my had for a minute. I took a page i learned from you on using service manuals and certain electoral test. So as always thanks for all the help and knowledge.
