      I been considering buying a set of e3 spark plugs for my 2000 nissan maxima SE 5 speed manual. But I’ve never purchased these plugs before. I currently have the NGK iridium plugs and they are due to be changed. Just thought id get some opinions on the e3’s before purchasing.

        They seem a little gimmicky, but after researching them a bit I may try them out today. I have a small lightweight car with a souped up engine that I know really well that would be a good candidate. I have my doubts though, because the part number for my car is also used for a lot of other cars, most of which have different ignition systems with different voltages and the stock plugs are made with different electrode materials. If they are in stock locally, I’ll be driving on them today and see what I think.

        EDIT:::
        I tried the plugs, but they didn’t fit my old VW. The plug for my car also fits a bunch of Chevys/Dodges/Etc, so I was pretty skeptical to begin with. After I got them in, I found I would have to cut the base of the plug wire boots off for them to fit over the top of the plug properly, so I aborted.
