As the title says, I am curious about these plugs. They’d be going in my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 3.7L, are these good plugs? Or are they branded snake oil?

I’m doing a tune up soon and am looking for some great plugs for my baby. Some plugs promise amazing gains of power and mileage, I’m not looking for either here. I just want a great plug that’ll last longer than 30k, that won’t cause damage.

You don’t want them, gimmick plugs.Cause misfires and I seen this once with a 2004 Impala once,it ran like crap and a misfire code appeared. It was the E3 spark plugs the previous person installed that caused the misfire.I threw them right in the garbage can and installed the OEM AC Delco spark plugs. The misfire was gone after installing the AC Delcos.E3s are nothing but problem childs.Should have NGKs in them, get the NGKs instead.

I appreciate the reply. Thank you for the information. I generally approach things like these E3 plugs as snake oil. I have always found it hard to believe that something as small as a plug would increase power / mileage by an ungodly amount.

That isn’t to say that spark plugs are inconsequential, but they are a very basic part, and as such, I’d imagine it’s very difficult to make any changes to them that would provide these advertised drastic increases.

I do, however, always like to ask before using a new item. There’s always bound to be someone who has used them before, and has had good or bad results from said parts.
