Shit, I dont like the E10 thats standard at all gas stations more. Ethanol is destroying our motors. Small engines are much more susceptible to this than cars, as its not uncommon to have things like fuel lines and primer bulbs disintegrate after a year, even with new products. Almost everyone I know with an older car has had to replace their fuel pump within the last year. I also love the fact that ethanol attracts water into your gas system, so its not uncommon to find a water pocket in your fuel line that freezes in the winter. If you get marine grade fuel stabilizer, that seems to help out with the ethanol problem. Oh, and to top that off, we have a local ethanol plant, and as I firefighter I am privy to the emergency plan that says if anything happens at that plant, a 10 mile circle around that plant has to be evacuated, and there is no way to put it out. We had an ethanol tanker crash and explode over a year ago. They are still trying to dig all the chemicals up, not to mention that there were about 10 fire departments involved with trying to put this fire out. Its pretty bad when your fire department is 8 miles away from the accident and you can see the flames in the sky!

January 16, 2013 at 6:01 am #492209Well I know that e-10 has disintigrated the rubber gaskets in my lawn mower gas tank and causes it to mis and backfire.
